Taking the very first step of the Customer Discovery and asking for help

I'm working on discovering the potential group of customers for the product that I'm thinking of. This is going to be some sort of a communication platform (starting from email and going from there), that is easily accessible and configurable by non-technical people; that will also provide an extended set of tools to optimize and monitor your messaging. (I know: It sounds awkward, but this is just what I'm starting from. :)

The survey link is: http://bit.ly/bDe4n7

If you are starting or working for a consumer-oriented company and use email as a primary communication channel between you and them, I'd really appreciate if you will take a few minutes and complete my survey. Even if you don't think that you really match, but would like to know more, just let me know your contact information and I'd be happy to chat and tell you more about my product.

Please help me in my Customer Discovery process and fill out the survey: http://bit.ly/bDe4n7

Thank you.

Quick-poll related to the "followers" value

I was interested in how much value does Twitter followers generate, if any at all.  Technically, this means that 10K of followers sounds like a lot and it could be a good number to evaluate.  (According to rather old data (almost one year old), average Twitter user has 126 followers only.  It might go up these days, but I don't think it went up more than twice or thrice.  For example, my @iwhite has less than 400 followers.  So, yeah, 10K is a lot.)

I have run the experiment and know the right answer now. :)  Lets see how close are you.

I'll share my data in a week.  I'll also include the results of this poll, if it would make any sense by that time. :)

I'm becoming unhappy with Blogger gradually day by day, so I'm starting to consider my options. Please, help me out.

Crowns (cont'd)

It looks like my last post about watches and crowns created some resonance around.

I've started a similar topic on WUS and run a poll on it. By the way -- I love polls. That's a great tool to learn what people think even if they hate to comment.

Many good results came so far. First of all, the watches with crown on the back. These ones are going to be added shortly, as soon as I'll sort out my bookmarks or get some insights into such watches. From what I know, the back-crowned watches are mostly vintage ones.

The other thing. It looks like the most of people who commented the post do like 3 o'clock crowns. However, according to the poll, almost 50% of the people who answered, like the unusual positions of the crown. That's all an interesting stats that I think some watchmakers should take into consideration.

It'd be interesting how the poll develops. I try to keep an eye on it and crosspost the changes here.
